Failed to connect to the OMIVV appliance. The SSL Certificate is not valid.
I get the following alerts when I try to use omivv :
If I look at the certificate I see the certificate is renewd a few days ago. (self signed certificate)
Any hints how to accept this new certificate ?
Thanks,
Stephan

I would try restarting the appliance. If that doesn't do it, then try unregistering and re-registering with vCenter to connect with the new cert.

Unregistering and re-registering doesn't fix the problem.
It really looks like I need to accept the new certificate in the vcenter ?

Hello Stephan,
I just had a very friendly call with Dell and in my case we solved it by re-starting the vSphere-Client Service.
Navigate to the VAMI https://vcentername:5480 and restart the Service "VMware vSphere Client".
Hope it helps

Is there a way to permanently fix this? Restarting works, but within two days I am getting the SSL error again.

Hi Jkrull,
Restarting the appliance is the step I have to suggest at this time. Hopefully, it won't be an issue in future releases, but I haven't seen another fix, permanent or temporary, quite yet.

Thank you for the reply. I'm trying to get vCenter 7 working with a single cluster image and this is a major issue. I hope a update is released soon.

I'm not sure what their development cycle is like, but I'll see if I can find anything I can share.

Hi Stephan,
Please let us know OMIVV version on which the error was seen. If you are running OMIVV 5.0, it is recommended to update OMIVV to 5.1.
Kindly refer to this online help for more information.
