OMCI Standard practices
Hello,
I was wondering if it was standard practice to install on all desktop machines, or is it intended for management machines only. I am looking for ways to enable auto-power on through scripting. We ran into a problem in the factory of them self powering up and it would break the startup script. So we're looking to take the self poweron out of the CFI and adding that feature when the startup script runs.

OMCI is intended to be installed on all client systems to provide richer inventory of Dell systems (2000+ datapoints), health monitoring, in addition to configuration capabilities. If you are looking to change just one setting on a fleet of systems and would rather not deploy OMCI, you can create a Self-Contained Executable with CCTK that will make the configuration change without installing anything on the client systems.
