VLT0204 Error
Hello and good afternoon.
I have a Dell PowerEdge R620 running Esxi.
There is orange warning on the front of the server sating "VLT0204 System Board PS2 PG Fail Voltage is Outside of Range. Contact Support.".
I was referred to your forum for out of warranty support.
The Dell Tech who I spoke with said this could be a range of issues from either a Firmware/Bios update resolution to something more.
I would like to try a firmware update.
However, we have ESXI running on this server and I believe your firmware/bios updates required Windows OS.
What do you recommend?
Thanks!

Hi,
The easiest way to update with ESXi is to reboot, press F10 during post for system services and choosing the platform updates option. Alternatively, you can use the Repository manager to create a custom bootable image with the updates. http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/w/wiki/1767.dell-openmanage-repository-manager

Josh,
Hello and good morning.
Thanks for the response.
The error I am receiving is indicating a possible secondary PSU issue.
Should I run a BIOS and/or Firmware update on the server?

Yes, updating would be a good step, there could potentially be an update for the power supply firmware as well.

Josh,
Hello and good afternoon.
I pressed F10 before dell splash screen.
I was taken to the Lifecycle application.
I do not see anywhere to choose Platform updates option.
