Upgrade RAM on PowerEdge T310
We purchased 2 sticks of RAM from Dell for our Dell PowerEdge T310. The server will not recognize that the RAM is in place. The Dell part # for the RAM is M9VK3. RAM specs are 8GB 4RX8 PC3L-8500R-7-11-H0. According to the Dell configuration page for our Service Tag this RAM should be compatible. Any ideas? Thank you.

No, we replaced the two original 2GB sticks that the server came with. The original two sticks were in slots one and two and the two new sticks were put into the same two slots. When they didn't work the two old sticks were put back in place and the server came back up fine.
