T310 on RAID 5 Hard Drive fail
One of the hard drive on RAID 5 failed.
We ordered the 1st hard drive with the similar specs as the failed hard drive, and it gave us a message that it was not certified by dell. We could not get the hard drive to rebuilt the RAID 5.
We ordered the 2nd hard drive which was certified by dell, and we got the same message that said it was not certified by dell.
I am not sure what went wrong, so please help, thanks in advance!

Hello
A non-certified drive is just a warning message. Our PERCs do not block non-certified drives from working unless they can't properly communicate with them. If the controller is having communication issues with multiple drives on the same cable/slot then it may be a cable/slot issue.
I would suggest reseating cables and test in a different cable/slot if available.
Thanks
