SR#

Hi guys, I'm posting this message in regarding to SR# created today which I'm looking for some assistance to create a Hard Drives Emergency/Recovery plan if 1/more HDD fail at some point of time.

Our DNS servers specs are:
DELL PowerEdge
R710 (2 processors) Intel Xeon X5570 @ 2.93 GHz
72 GB RAM
Windows Server 2012
6 x 132 GB HDD

We already bought the spare Hard Drives but when we tried to swap some of them as part of the recovery plan (shut down the server), it didn't boot properly like never recognize the new Hard Drives

Would you pls advise as we are very concerned that the server drives failed and we cannot recover easily. Thanks.

Hello

This is not an appropriate question for this forum. We do not provide free consultation services on this forum. If you need assistance designing a backup and recovery plan then I suggest that you ask the community in the server forum or contact sales to see if they offer a consultation service to fit your needs.

You can review the controller manual for instructions on how to replace drives:

Thanks
