RAID problem on PowerEdge R310

I have a PowerEdge R310 with SAS 6/iR Integrated (EMbedded) RAID controller, and two identical disks in RAID-1 configuration. It was working fine, and then at some point one of the disks failed. Looking in OMSA, it is reported in State Incompatible, which makes no sense.

How do I troubleshoot this?

Thank you,

Opher

Hello.

Only one of the disks fail, the other works. I did replace the failed disk, and the new one is also reported in State Incompatible. The status of the virtual disk in OMSA is a red circle with a white 'x' in it ('Critical'). The status of the other disk is a yellow triangle with '!' in it ('Non-Critical'), but the State is 'Online'.

Thank you. The versions I have are as follows:

BIOS: 1.11.0, 9/18/2012

iDRAC6: 1.92.00 (Build 5)

Lifecycle Controller: 1.5.5.27

How do I check if they are up-to-date or not? Is it possible to update them through OMSA if necessary?

In the meantime I looked at the Dell support website, with the service tag of my machine, and found that there are some updates, but they do not seem to be relevant:

BIOS: 1.12.0, 18/11/2013, fixes the following: "Corrected an issue where Virtual-APIC Page Accesses With 32-Bit PAE Paging May Cause a System Crash."

iDRAC6: no update, 1.92 is up-to-date.

Lifecycle Controller: 1.7.5.4, fixes the following: "LC boot issue with Brocade FW(BR815)"

Moreover, since the RAID was working fine and then at some point, out of the blue, started to report the disk incompatible, I do not see how this could be caused by firmware.

How can I move to a paid intervention, so that a Dell technician will come over, investigate the problem, and solve it?

Thank you,

Opher

Sorry, here is the information for the SAS 6/iR controller:

Firmware version: 00.25.47.00.06.22.03.00

Driver version: 3.04.20

Which seems to be up-to-date according to the support website.

Is there a number in Belgium I can call, as I am located in Belgium...

Thank you,

Opher
