R510 w/ PERC H700
We have an R510 that we are trying to upgrade. It came with a PERC 6/I RAID controller, but we are wanting to use 3TB drives in it, so we installed the PERC H700 RAID controller. I had a remote tech do this work for me, as I'm in another state. After the install of the new card and removal of the old, we now get an error that says "SAS Cable A or SAS integrated Controller is missing". I can go into the bios settings of the H700, but it does not see any drives. There are no lights on the drive. The cables have been reseated, as well as the backplane and the drives, and all firmware are up to date.
On a side note, the remote tech said there was a cable coming off the riser card from a port labeled "J_SAS_LED1" that he didn't know where the other end connected.

Hello
It sounds like you have not installed the proper cabling. The backplane is not receiving a signal from the controller. The H700 and PERC6i use different cables. If you did not purchase new cables with your controller then you should do so. You should be able to find more information in the manual:
www.dell.com/support/home/product-support/product/poweredge-r510/manuals
If you need further help with this issue then please contact fee-based support.

We purchased cables with the card, but they came third party. Do you know if Dell sells these cables still?

I am looking at replacing the cables. I want to make sure I order the correct part. Is it P744P or Y673P?
