poweredge T410 only boots to recovery mode

One of my clients servers appears to have been hacked and now it only boots to recovery mode. Upon first attempt to get in to the recovery mode the server said the login information was incorrect. I then used my passcape disk to try and change the admin password and it told me that the SAM file was found and the password it gave was not my password.

I am now able to login to the recovery mode using the changed password, but when I attempt recovery there are no recovery images found and there are no visible drives to search. When I boot up the raid configuration says that there are 2 VD and both are optimal managed by bios. But the recovery mode does not see them. I looked for drivers for the perc 6i but have not been able to find them.

the server is running SBS 2011 and Microsoft tells me that it has reach end of support. I am able to browse the drives and all of the data appears to be there but how can I get this server back up and running without data loss and having to do a reinstall?

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help

Hello

no recovery images found
2 VD and both are optimal managed by bios. But the recovery mode does not see them.

That is not how the recovery image works. The recovery image is not stored on the drives. It is an ISO you create. It would be on a DVD if you made one.

I looked for drivers for the perc 6i but have not been able to find them.

The drivers are properly loaded if you are able to view the data.

how can I get this server back up and running without data loss and having to do a reinstall?

This forum is for simple questions related to Dell hardware or software. Your issue is specific to the Microsoft operating system. Nothing you have stated points to an issue with the server. I would suggest that you search Microsoft's knowledge base regarding the recovery of a boot record. If you would like assistance from Dell on this issue then you should contact your sales representative and inquire about a warranty that includes software support. We have warranties available that cover Microsoft operating systems.

Thanks
