PowerEdge T410 "failed" Virtual Drive
Our server has been experiencing various drive failures that ultimately resulted in the system not being able to boot to windows. Since these issues started, I have been keeping a clone of the primary drive in our RAID1 set. After the last failure, I created a clone of my backup and was able to boot the system using the drive. In an attempt to resolve the underlying issues, we decided to start looking at BIOS and firmware versions. The first thing I noticed was that the BIOS was at version 1.2 and the latest available was 1.12. So, with the system booted into Windows, we flashed the BIOS to 1.12. When the system rebooted, RAID was turned off in the BIOS and the system would not boot. Once identified, we reenabled RAID but the RAID was tagged as "FAILED" and the disk that is present and that would boot before the BIOS update is labeled as "Spare". I would like to roll back to the 1.2 BIOS version. Is that possible and can the 1.2 BIOS update be provided? If there are any other ideas about how to get it to boot as it, I would be open to that as well.
