poweredge T310

I have a Dell Poweredge T310 running Windows server 2003.  I would like to upgrade to windows server 2012 r2 but this MB is a 32 bit board.  I would like to know if there is a part number for a 64 bit version of this server.  Will changing to a 64 bit processor work or would I have to find a board that supports 64 bit.?

Hello

There is not a 32 bit system board or CPU for the T310. All CPUs available with the system support x64 operating systems. If you are having issues installing Server 2012 then it is not related to 64 bit compatibility.

The S100 controller is not supported in Server 2012. There is not a driver available for that OS. If you are using that controller then you will need to set the mode to something other than RAID for the drives to be detected by the OS.

Thanks
