PowerEdge T310 Hard Drive Addition(s)

I dumped MS SRV 2003 and loaded Win 7 Pro which has run great but I am trying to deterrmine if there is any way I can mount a 5th hard drive?

Im trying to run C: off of sata E and 4 x 3TB off of sata A,B,C,D

The bios recognizes all but will not boot W7 when the 5 drive is active.

I've read posts and tech data regarding the sata controllers and understand I may be up against hard limitations but this is not a mission critical system and I'ld love to find/try any cheats to utillize the motherboard controllers before adding an internal sata card...

Thanks NAEPOoW Forum-ers!

Hello

The T310 supports up to 4 internal hard drives. SATA ports E and F are intended for optical drives. You can try connecting other SATA devices to those ports, but if they don't work I'm not aware of a way to make them work.

Thanks
