PowerEdge R710 4TB drives

I lost a NAS and wanted to re-purpose an R710.  Purchased 4TB sata drives from Dell sales... problem is the Perc6i only sees 2TB.  Is there a way to make this work, or do I need to get a another raid controller card?

the Perc6i only sees 2TB

This cannot be changed. It is a limit of the controller. The H700 and later are capable of addressing larger than than 2TB drives.

Dears, I know this is a 2 yrs old post, however I have another question regarding this matter. If I remove the perc 6 raid controller, can the OS centos 7 reads the disks individually and at 4TB instead of 2TB?
