PowerEdge R410 - Virtual Disk Degraded.... which one?
My PowerEdge R410 reports "Virtual Disk is Degraded" on boot up.
Looking at OpenManage, Virtual Disk shows as "RAID-1" and status of "Degraded".
I have a replacement drive to swap out the failing/failed drive... but which one is dead?
Looking at "Physical Disks" in OpenManage,
Physical Disk 0:0 shows a state of "Ready".
Physical Disk 0:1 shows a state of "Online".
If I had to guess, I would say Disk 0:1 is bad.
Questions:
1. Am I correct in my above assumptions?
2. If I am correct, which disk is 0:1 (only 2 drives in the server)
3. Once I identify the drive, I am assuming I can hot swap it.
4. Once swapped, will it automatically start a rebuild or do I need to take an action and if so,... what do I need to do?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Thank you. That started a rebuild.
Very strange as I set this up about 5 years ago and all was well. Mirror was fine, etc..
Last week, I saw in the boot up screen that it was degraded.
Since there are only 2 of us with access to the locked server room, and neither of us touched the server... I am not sure how the unit went into "degraded" state.
Now that I know what to look for, I'll keep an eye on it....
If the drive failed (like from heat) and then came back to life for some odd reason.... I wonder if that would cause this message.
Just curious... no reply needed... I have a spare drive I can toss in if it happens again.
Thanks!
