Hard Drive Swap
I have a T410 and one of the hard drives has failed. I have a new one on the way. It does not have the hot swapable component. I just want to make sure the correct procedure. I plan on shutting down the server. Opening it up and swapping the drives. Turning it back on. Will this start the rebuilding process? Am I risking anything by doing this procedure? Any issues I should expect?

Hello
You may need to set the replacement as a hot spare or start a sync depending on the controller. A rebuild will generally not start automatically on a cabled drive configuration. The manual for your controller should have instructions for replacing a drive:

Thanks
