Driver Information for Controller PERC 6/i Integrated
We have a PowerEdge 2950 with the PERC 6/i Integrated RAID SAS Controller. It is running Windows 2008 R2 OS and we are unable to locate a driver to update the outdated version of 2.23.00.64. OpenManage is complaining that the minimum required version is 2.24.00.32. I have found a few driver files for other OS versions on the support site but have had no luck for 2008 R2.
Please assist in pointing me in the right direction if possible!

Hi,
What version of OMSA are you using? Try updating http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=28KFC&fileId=3365343263&osCode=WS8R2&productCode=poweredge-2950&languageCode=en&categoryId=SM
The version it is asking for is a 32 bit version.

Hello Josh,
That is what is confusing me as this is a 64 bit system. Why is it asking for 2.24.00.32 ?
I downloaded and installed the version suggested and am still seeing the following error:
"Driver version is out of date.
Driver Version 2.23.00.64
Minimum Required Driver Version 2.24.00.32
Storport Driver Version 6.1.7601.18386"
OpenManage 7.4.0 is installed.
Please assist,
Thanks!

I am trying to find out why, but for now, the answer might just be to ignore the warning.

Thanks for the quick response.
I have given it a try and it fails to install stating "the update package cannot be executed under the current operating system". It doesn't make sense why there isn't one available for 2008 R2 but even 2003 and 2008 show to have driver updates available..any other options?

Okay? So this is due to a bug and we need to safely ignore? Hmm.

It is only cosmetic, so yes.
