Dell PowerEdge T330 Unexpected Shutdowns
Hi all,
I'm seeing unexpected shutdowns with my PowerEdge T330 server, Service Tag . The system is only 1 month outside of warranty...
I am currently running the system with no drives attached.
----
In general this is the behavior I see:
Plug in system, system ID LED turns on and front display turns on. Able to access iDRAC. Press system power button: power light turns on, but fans do not and system does not. Power light remains on. Hold power button to turn light off. Front panel is still responsive. Power supply self test button is unresponsive. Unplug system.
Plug system back in and wait for system ID LED to turn off. Hold PSU self test button. PSU light blinks on and off, PSU and system fans spin up briefly. Release self test button and hold again. Light not on, PSU fan spins up, a slight clicking sound can be heard. Press system power button, power light turns on. PSU fan spins up, system fan attempts to spin up but stops. System repeatedly attempts to start up, but never succeeds. Power button unresponsive. Unplug system.
----
Occasionally I have been able to get the system to boot. On 2 occasions I was able to boot into the Dell Pre-boot System Assessment. Both times the system shut down unexpectly in the middle of the memory test.

Based on what I'm seeing, I'm thinking this is a power supply failure. My system has the 350W cabled power supply (not hot-swap) (part number 450-AEVQ). The Dell parts store does not have this part listed at all (even though systems are still built with it). The traige team suggested I try some 3rd party parts sources, but I am unable to find this power supply anywhere.

Does this sound like a power supply issue? If so, what can I do to replace it since Dell and 3rd parties do not sell it?
Thanks!
