Dell PowerEdge C6220 compatible with 8 TB SATA hard drive?
Hello!
I had a quick question! We are about to order 8 TB hard drives for our PowerEdge C622. Is Dell PowerEdge C6220 with 8 TB internal hard drives? Are there any limitations? I could not find a clear answer, so I called Dell support and they directed me to this forum. Thanks much in advance!

Hello
No, we have not validated any 8TB drives for the C6220. The drive size limit is dependent on the controller. I think all controllers validated for the C6220 support drive sizes larger than 2TB. I'm not sure what the theoretical maximum is.
If you choose to use drives not validated for the system I don't know if they will function correctly.
