Adding new hard drives on PowerEdge T310
I have a T310 server which has RAID 1. Now I plan to extend the storage.
1. Can I keep the current RAID card for adding hard drives with the same RAID 1? If I can, should I buy SAS drives or SATA will be OK? How I can configure the RAID? The new RAID 1 configuration will not bother, clear or format the current working hard drives?
2. Can I simply add SATA hard drives without any extra configuration with the currently working RAID 1 hard drives? If can, new SATA hard drives can be installed in the front panel side hot-plugs or cabled on the motherboard? Can I use 4T 7200rpm SATA or 2T? Thank you.

The RAID card is SAS6IR-ADAPT of RAID1. As my understanding, the card has 4 drives of RAID, so the current drive 0 and 1 configured RAID 1 for Drive C, and 2 new drives can make drive D with the same RAID 1?
The server has 4 hot-swappable bays of the SAS6IR card, 2 in use and 2 empty. The empty bays can be added with 2T (7200rpm and 3Gbps) SATA drives keeping the RAID 1 but have a new Drive D? If works, the currently working drives will not be influenced by the newley added drives? If not, how to add a new RAID1 for the new added drives? if following this, the currently working drives are not deleted by the new RAID1 creation?
Or just add a drive without RAID in the empty bay creating drive D?
