(Redirected) received a faulty laptop and Dell is not honoring the warranty even though they keep telling me they will- 7 months and counting

I bought a laptop from Dell 7 months ago and the fan did not work so it went over 100*C the first time I turned it on and since then it has not worked properly. I bought it for work and haven't been able to use it. After 5 months of endless phone calls and emails their escalation department finally decided to send me a replacement- that was 2 months ago. I have no computer and Dell has thousands. My experience has been so stressful. I may lose my job as I am not able to do the contracts I took on. Sometimes I have been on the phone- being transferred from one agent to another for over 2 hours and then they cut me off. Does anyone have any suggestions? Better Business Bureau? I am typing this on my old desk top as my $1000 laptop is unusable- except as a frisbee. I would never recommend to anyone to buy a Dell- unless they have money to throw away. Worst experience of this kind ever. I bought a down coat from Columbia that had a design flaw and they replaced it with a coat worth 4X what my original purchase was. They told me they never "downgrade". Not so with Dell- they wanted to send me a refurbished computer. So frustrating- what can be done- nothing!

I am still waiting. I was told a replacement had been shipped and would arrive in 5 days. That was 1.5 months ago.Then I was told Dell didn't have any computers. Maybe none of them work properly? So I have asked for my money back repeatedly and have heard nothing back. I spent $1000 on this laptop that I depend on for doing contract work from home. Send me MY money. You thieves!!!!!!!!!!!

As of today I have been waiting for 7.5 months. i was told the replacement was sent and that it would be here in 5 days . That was a month and a half ago. Since then I was told Dell doesn't have any computers. SO I have asked for my money back so that I can go and buy a brand with a reputation for honoring the warranty. So far I have heard nothing back. I have asked to speak to someone higher up and haven't heard a word.
