(Redirected) Is my brand new XPS 2720 with Windows 8.1 missing essential sytem files?
I launched Windows Speech Recognition only to receive following error message:
cspNotify sapisvr.exe
This programme cannot start becasue the following file is missing from your computer: api-ms-win-crt-heap-I1-1-0.dll
Is this a file installed with Windows 8.1 file? It appears to be if Windows Speech Recognition depends on it. If so why is it missing from my computer?
How can I remedy? Would I need to (re)install Speech Recognition? How can I do this if Dell do not ship copy of Windows CD with their system? Can Iinstall this from the hidden partitions or system recovery somewhow?
Can I simply install the missing dll file instead?
Please help.
