(Redirected) Dell Inspiron 3541 DVDROM fails after Win 10 Upgrade
I purchased a brand new Inspiron 3541 with Win 8.1. It came with a Win 10 free upgrade in which I installed. The upgrade went ok and everything else seemed to work. However the DVDROM driver failed due to a corrupted registry key. The key was probably a fragment remain of win 8.1. I didn't know what that key was that was corrupted so I instead uninstalled the DVDROM driver and removed all registry keys. I then reinstalled the DVDROM driver using the default win 10 driver. This worked and I thought I fixed it, until I rebooted. Upon reboot, the registry keys were reinstalled which rendered the driver inop with corrupted registry keys again. Is there a fix for this out there that I don't know about yet? I'm sure I'm not the only person with this issue.
