(Redirected) Bad Buying Experience
I was very excited to create my custom Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series laptop for my home and office. The initial build was very easy and having used Dell computer for the past 15 years at work it was an absolute that I would buy a home and office laptop when I decided to start my own business. That was then, January 19, 2016.
This is now. With eager anticipation, I went to the Dell.com website to check the status of my order only to find that my customer information had been combined with another user with the same name. Our customer numbers were combined, seemingly based on our names alone. I was able to see orders that he placed back in 2014. Since this troubled me beyond words I made attempts to contact dell only to be put on hold, transferred and then ultimately disconnected. When I finally did get through to someone that seemed knowledgeable and was willing to help, the problem still wasn't resolved. All they did was remove the other guys addresses from the customer leaving me with his order statuses on my account.
Last night I received notification that my order, which has already been delayed, will be delayed again. I would cancel the order through the dell.com website, but I am unable to do so because "I am not authorized" to see the address associated with the order or the order status. Really? I am not authorized? I went to submit an inquiry and the order was 'Not Valid". What?
Today, I just want to cancel my this order, close my dell.com account AND my Dell Financial Services line of credit so I can go out and purchase a computer from another manufacturer. I want to speak to a human that understands english and speaks it just as well. I am frustrated beyond words with this buying experience and will never use Dell as a solution again.
