New updated forums
Glad to see forums back up.
Two observations regarding the new Community forums:
1) Some web links within the Dell forum itself seem to be broken and weren't converted to new URLs.
For example, see the first link on this Dell forum page here. Copied below for reference:
"I later upgraded to a GeForce GTX 970 on original PSU, as you can see above (here)."
If you click on the link you get a Dell Community "Page not found" page.
Above link worked fine before the conversion to the new forum system. This needs to be reported to team doing the forum conversion, since it seems to have been missed.
2) Also, I'm not able to create a new post or reply to any other forums other than this one. Any idea when forums will be available for posting/replying?
Thanks.

Hi Techgee,
Thanks for your feedback on our new community! We're still working on fixing those links and re-directs, so please be patient, they'll get them ironed out as soon as they can.
All the boards should be open and available for posting. I'm checking it out now. Thanks for the heads up.
Regards,
Robert

Robert,
Thanks for the response.
I've noticed some forums are now unlocked and available for posting, but most active ones are still locked. For these forums all threads have blue padlock on them, no reply button on any posts and "Start a Discussion" is grayed out.
Any idea when will following main forums will be available for posts/replies:
Thanks.
EDIT:
Also, top-level Discussion sorting doesn't seem to work - latest posts aren't shown first, but in some kind of random order or starting with posts from over a month ago. Selecting "..." > "Sort by ... Date" doesn't work properly (it's also grayed out when not logged in, which is strange), regardless of which way it's set.
EDIT (1/13/18):
Seems top-level Discussion sorting was fixed yesterday. Progress.

Uhm...
I was just doing a search on google which came up with several results pointing to Discussion posts on Dell's community site. All results went to the Dell Community home page and not where they should.
It appears now that all hyperlinks pointing to Dell's Community no longer direct properly.
This was working last night - meaning after the conversion to the new system.
(The original hyperlink issue I reported above is when hyperlinking to something on a Discussion thread that's not on the first page or indexes to a specific post (for example, page 3 of a discussion, 4th message down). The problem with hyperlinks to pages within a discussion or a specific post I believe is due to the fact that there were multiple hyperlink methods supported by the old Dell forum system to get to a Discussion page/post and it looks like at least one of the methods wasn't converted to redirect properly.)
Hopefully this is all getting sorted out...
EDIT (1/13/18):
Google search results pointing to Dell's forums seems to be working again. However, issue with links within Dell's forum in my original post above still doesn't work.

I'm also unable to upload images to insert into a post to illustrate a solution or problem.
It's also rather perplexing that it seems one can't upload an image while composing a post - which was the way it used to work and was intuitive (and assured that images within posts didn't have their links broken since the image and post were implicitly associated). Instead, (if it worked) one has to go to their Profile and add an image to their collection of images. Then and only then can one insert the image into a post. In theory, if it worked, that is - which it does not. Anyway that's how the Help says it works (both the original and "Version 2" of it - whatever that is).
Uploading images for posts is either disabled or it does not work - the ability to even upload an image to one's Profile isn't enabled (there's no button to add an image).
Any idea when and how this will be resolved?

on my home system I could login, but could not navigate anywhere.
I was getting HTTP Error 413 Request entity too large. error.
I had to go into the depths of chrome to clear the dell cookies.
seemed like the redirect from the old en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/ url was tripping up the new site.
thought I would mention it.

Yes, you are correct. The cache, cookies, and temporary internet files will need to be cleared from your browser and please use the following URL instead of the old one. If you have a bookmark, please have it point to the new URL: dell.com/community

Many threads have not the Reply button. OK, I will open a new one but... many links do not operate at all.
For example SUPPORT FORUMS/LAPTOP says "Page not found".
It should be one of the most requested, wrong?
What did you do?
