My Posts Keep Disappearing (Sent to Moderation?)
For the past few days every reply I've posted has disappeared from the forum, but a few have re-appeared after several hours so I'm assuming they are being automatically sent to moderation. I don't know if it's because they were long posts (e.g., if my login session automatically timed out, even though I pre-compose my post in Notepad and then paste them into the forum's WYSIWYG editor), because they both had inserted images, or if it is due to some other problem.
For example, I posted <here> on 12-Sep-2024 in youngfam's Support Assist keeps trying to update Nvidia driver when hardware does not exist and thought the post was successful, but when I refreshed the page my post was gone. I logged out of the forum, logged back in about an hour later, and re-typed the entire post <here> but that second post disappeared as well. The following day both posts were visible and I now have duplicate posts in that topic.
Yesterday I posted a reply in AnotherJamieRI topic "Dell SupportAssist" vs "SupportAssist" vs "Dell Update" vs "Dell Update for Windows Universal" and thought the post was successful but when I visited the forum today I noticed that reply has disappeared as well and still isn't out of moderation.

Hi @DELL-Chris M :
Thanks for letting me know @Dell-Brad L is investigating.
In the mean time, would it be possible for you to delete my duplicate post (created September 12th, 2024 @ 16:27) <here> in youngfam's topic Support Assist keeps trying to update Nvidia driver when hardware does not exist?

@lmacri I removed the duplicate post. We're still working on this, but should have a fix soon.

Hi @Dell-Brad L :
I originally thought that adding an image and/or hyperlink with the WYSIWYG editor was the only cause of this problem, but it also appears that my posts will be taken down and sent to moderation if I try to edit a reply after it as been posted, even if it only contains plain text.

@lmacri Can you retest this? We did make it where edits would need to be reviewed for standard users, but can you do this on your account with an image in one comment and one with an edit so I can review this? I am going to try and test this on my end too.

Hi DELL-Brad L:
No, the problem isn't fixed for me.
I just posted a reply at https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/supportassist-for-pcs/support-assist-not-downloading-possibly-corrupted/672dbe85588a271af38e54ad?commentId=672f71a706988c7e6fca5c93 in ByeAbhay65's 08-Nov-2024 topic Support Assist not downloading, possibly corrupted that included an image and multiple hyperlinks.
It initially appeared to post correctly but I was unable to make an edit (if I recall the only option under the ellipsis was "Copy Link", which is why I know the URL) and when I refreshed the page my post disappeared.

Hi DELL-Brad L:
Just a minor correction to my previous post. When I create a new post there are two options under the ellipsis - "Delete" and "Copy Link" - but I can't see any way to Edit now.

Hi @Dell-Brad L :
As of 10-Nov-2024 I was able to see the Edit option under the ellipsis immediately after posting a new reply at https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/supportassist-for-pcs/support-assist-not-downloading-possibly-corrupted/672dbe85588a271af38e54ad?commentId=6730c7253a370c473e421b82 ...
... but the Edit option disappeared after I refreshed the page so I was unable to test what would happen if I tried to Edit my post.
On the plus side, that post contained both images and hyperlinks and was not automatically sent to moderation, so that's an improvement.

Hi @Dell-Brad L :
I immediately edited my reply <above> without refreshing the page and the edited reply was not sent to moderation. However, the Edit option disappeared from under the ellipsis as soon as my edited reply was posted (see image below), so as of today I'm limited to a single edit, at least in this New to the Dell Community board.

@lmacri Unfortunately for the time being edits have been somewhat disabled, the edit button disappears after few seconds/page refresh. It will still allow you to edit if you click it in time but it's something we're working to have a better solution on (hopefully soon), unfortunately it was being abused and had to be restricted for now. Sorry for the inconvenience on this, if you have anything major to edit please DM me for now. I will be out of the office until the 25th, but our other Community Managers/Mods should be able to help with this too.
We're working on a new moderation system so this should go away soon (on the waiting for moderation/auto flagged for mod etc.), in the meantime I am also going to check if we have a way to bypass this as a workaround for your account though.
Thanks so much for all of the help on here!
