How to View All Drivers in Date Order?
The previous format for finding drivers for my XPS 8960 listed all drivers, which I could display in date order. This made it easy for me to see new drivers that were issued since the last time I checked.
The new format for finding drivers, by comparison, divides drivers into categories. This forces me to look through the entire list of drivers to find drivers that were issued since the last time I checked.
Is there a way to display all drivers in date order, without dividing them into categories?

On the non-Service Tag platform site, you can sort by Category or Release Date. But not combined =

On the Service Tag site, in groups but you can choose 7 day/30 day/60 day =

Another step backwards by Dell for functionality and user-friendliness. The new Drivers & Downloads page is just a confusing mess, and I agree with MastiffX that the old page design where users could sort every update by Release Date was far superior.
At the very minimum it would be helpful if the devs would add another radio button for Release Date so users could select "Past Year" as a date range filter.
It's also incredibly frustrating to have Importance (Critical / Recommended / Optional) as the main grouping level. If Dell has to use any type of grouping (which I personally hate) why not leave Importance as a column heading and only group by Category (e.g., Application, Chipset, Video, etc.). Under the new design, for example, half my Chipset updates are grouped under Critical and the other half are grouped under Recommended, while my Application updates are split between Critical and Optional.

+1 for @lmacri 's suggestion. Please implement. The layout is a time waster for those of us to check for updates manually using our Service Tags on the Dell Support site.
Have a great day.

It also took me a few minutes to find the "hidden" Scan Now button on the new Drivers and Downloads page. This blue button should be easily visible when you land on that page.
I don't have SupportAssist installed on my Inspiron 5584 and expected to see an error message or prompt to install SupportAssist when I clicked that Scan Now button but clicking had no effect.

Hi @DELL-Chris M :
Sadly, browsing to https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/inspiron-15-5584-laptop/ now takes me directly to the poorly-designed new support page (i.e., even before I've entered my Service Tag) so viewing and sorting the full list of software and drivers matching the Insipron 5584 on a single page is not possible anymore.

Hi @DELL-Chris M :
I think you misunderstood my comment. I was trying to point out that the first image in your 12-Dce-2024 post <here> of the old "non-Service Tag platform" site where you said users could still sort every software and hardware update by release date (i.e., as long as they did not enter their Service Tag) is no longer an option for me because the old pages for my Inspiron 5584 support site were taken down in early Jan 2025.
For example, here's a image of the "old" XPS 8930 support page I captured back on 26-Nov-2024 at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/xps-8930-desktop/drivers. If you click that link you are now taken directly to the "new" support page where software and hardware drivers are always grouped by Importance (Critical / Recommended / Optional), so sorting every software and hardware update by release date is now impossible .

I see. Yes, it appears they migrated to that new page style.

@DELL-Chris M
Does that mean we can no longer sort all drivers by date for any product?

@DELL-Chris M Well that's a bummer. Now the site looks like that of HP - which I don't like at all :(
Where can we complain about the 'new support experience'?

Hi MastiffX:
Good news. I checked my Inspiron 15 5584 support page today and discovered that I am once again able to sort available updates by date of release. Kudos to the Dell Support website devs if this is a permanent fix.
