How to order Latitude Win10 Pro Laptop and ensure I can download Win7 Pro ISO
I have been trying to order a Windows 10 Pro 7470 or 7480 laptop with 6th gen i7 processor, preferably from Dell Outlet, and be sure I can download the Win 7 Pro ISO. I know I can in theory downgrade to Win7 Pro as long as I have 6th generation processor system, but I wanted to avoid any the well known issues relating to USB3 and SSD drivers and all the other "essential" Latitude stuff like the security and fingerprint reader software that always causes problems.
The only way I can be certain of what sort of Windows restoration software may be available is by checking after ppurchase using the Service Tag, but this is too late. Contacting Dell support is useless without a service tag and Dell sales just refer me to support.
In theory I am also supposed to be order a new Latitude with the Win 7 downgrade, but this seems to be impossible in the UK.
I prefer to go the Outlet route if possible as this is old technology and I prefer the full size SD card reader on the older 7470.

You would have to contact Dell outlet to know if they had the down grade.

You have obviously never contacted Dell Outlet. I have tried many variations on this question. The nearest you get to an answer is - you need to contact tech support - tech support cannot answer without a Service Tag.
