How do I contact a forum moderator?
I received an email from TOS informing me that a recent post was deleted due to a violation of said terms. The deletion and associated email was automatically generated by the system and I cannot directly reply to it.
I need to find out what exactly in my post is in violation so that I may edit it in accordance with the TOS and repost. I have reviewed the content of my post, and while somewhat critical of Dell, I don't see any outright violations. The system is most likely to flag certain keywords or phrases, but I don't know what those are in this case.
I cannot re post the post without editing, nor can I post the content of the email, as that is also a violation of the TOS. I am looking for a way to contact a moderator for some direction.
I tried clicking the "Contact" link on one of the moderator's posts, and tried both "Start a conversation" and "Send an email." The former won't allow unless we're friends, and I don't want to start a friendship in that manner, and the latter brings up a blank modal window, no form, on both Firefox and IE.
I would appreciate direction from a forum moderator at this point. Thank you!

Maybe a moderator will see this and respond. The "friend" is how direct contacts and personal messages are established on this forum.
However, the forum "filtering" is overly strict and even some standard technical terms are on the "forbidden" list. I also got a repirmand one time for using upper case number characters for "cursing". In addition, personal information is considered a violation such as the Service Tag number on a PC,

Thanks fireberd, that makes me feel better. Chances are a mod wouldn't be able to pinpoint the exact cause of the deletion either - maybe I'll have a go at editing and re-posting and see what happens!

SlipJigs,
Sorry your post may have been deleted for TOS violations. I have the site administrator looking into it for you, when I have more information, I'll gladly share it with you.

Hello Robert P
I to am having problems reaching a moderator
I had a post deleted, though critical of the company's service, I would hardly call it inflamitory.
Such action only serves to reinforce my antipathy to deal with Dell in the future,
I would like some guidance, specific to the post, so that I may alter the content, that has offended your filtering software
Regards

Hi Gerry,
Sorry you are having such difficulties contacting a moderator. I'm here and interested in helping.
I've searched the post you are mentioning, however I did not see your balsamlake username. I would also like to point out that the post was removed from the Forum in November of 2009. Not sure why, but my guess is that the TOS Team was instructed to do so because of the subject title. The word "sucks" when used in the subject line of that post refers to a derogotory sexual term as opposed to the action of a vacuum cleaner, which violates the Terms of Use. Without being able to see your indivitual post, I do not know if your post was singled out, or that it was just removed along with the other 4 pages of user comments.
Even in this post, I've made several references on how users can contact me. If you are still needing that information, please click on my name in blue (above) and on the next page, in the upper right corner is an envelope which says "send message", click that, and a pop up appears where you can type in your message. If you are unable to see the popup, and you have pop ups disabled on your computer, you might want adjust your settings to allow them for this one time.
Thanks, and I'm looking forward to your message and how to assist you.
Regards,
Robert
