Dell Latitude 5540 Recovery
Hi All
I have a Dell Latitude E5540 I bought this second hand and the hard disc is formatted to a single drive and has no dell software as it would of been supplied when new, can anyone tell me if I can get the drive back to factory state as I would like to use all the dell features that this laptop has. I have no separate partition for recovery I have tried the F12 key and there is no Dell option to restore to factory state like I have said it is second hand and the shop I bought it from has a stupid policy to flatten the drive which in turn removes all recovery options.
any help and advice would be helpful.
thanks in advance

Hi,
Thank you for writing to the Dell Community Forum.
First, I would recommend you to do a Ownership Transfer of the system from the previous owner to yourself using the following link:

You would need the Dell OEM media to format the hard drive. You would have to get in touch with the Dell Technical Support of your region to place a request for the disks.

You are better to clean install Windows 10 TH2:
