Wireless Card Upgrade for Inspiron 5749
Hello there.
Sure hope someone can help me out here... long story short, I want to upgrade the card in my i5749 to a dual band a/b/g/n card instead of the default b/g/n card. Thing is, though I can find a number of cards of the proper form factor, none of them state explicitly that they're compatible with this model of laptop...
So basically, I want to know if anyone else is in the same boat, or if anyone has the expertise to recommend an a/b/g/n card that will definitely work with my laptop.

Hi,
Officially, the only cards we know of that are tested and confirmed to work in that system are the Dell DW1704 and DW1705 cards. There may be other cards that work well in the system but unsure you're going to find much of an answer on these support boards.
If you've found other cards have you gone to the manufacturer's web pages and boards to see if any of their customers have used those cards on the Inspiron 5749? That might be a better source of opinions than what you would find here on these support boards.
