wired Ethernet on dell xps 17 L1702
my laptop isn't recognising my Ethernet cable , just says cable not connected , im pretty sure a sudden electric storm damaged something , can I replace a part to solve it. It connects fine via wireless.

Hi Silverdell,
Welcome to the Dell Community Forum.
You may try using a different ethernet cable. Part that you may have to replace would be the motherboard or may try using a USB Ethernet Adapter.

Thanks for the reply ..think its time it got re-cycled , not worth a new motherboard .
