Wifi breaks every time updates are installed

I purchased an Inspiron 17 Series 5000 a while back for my wife and it has become a major issue. 

Every time there is an update, the wifi breaks.  I'm able to connect to both routers in my house but there is no internet access. 

I then need to restore the system to the previous build and internet is restored. 

That's a pain when I am home.  It's brutal when I'm not home. 

If it matters, I have Windows 10 Home and the radio is the Intel Dual Band AC-3160.

If you can't solve this I paid a lot of money for a boat anchor. 

FYI she had a Lenovo for 6 years and that machine was not down for a single hour the whole time. Teaches me for trying to do something nice.
