WD15 dock maximum resolution issue / feedback
Hello,
I cannot use two 1600 x 1200 displays with the WD15 dock at native resolution. This is a frustrating implementation since the WD15 dock supports a maximum of 2 x 1920 x 1080 displays which is a higher number of total pixels.
At one of the desks I sit at I have two older Dell 2007FPb monitors. I cannot use them both at native resolution with this dock.
The 1200 pixel height is larger than the 1080 pixel height of an HD monitor. The total number of pixels on a 1920x1080 HD display is 2,073,600. The total pixels on a 1600x1200 display is 1,920,000. It makes sense to me that the WD15 TB should be able to power these two displays since the pixel count is 307,200 pixels less than using two HD displays which is supported.
I would love it if a firmware update would allow the use of two 1600 x 1200 displays.
*I should note that one of the displays was connected to the HDMI port. The other to the VGA port. Either of them works when I only use one, but if I connect them both one of them must run at reduced resolution. I am guessing it would be the same using the HDMI / mini DP port. I also know it is not my laptop as I am using a 7420 with a Thunderbolt connection. The laptop supports running four DisplayPort monitors using my WD19TB dock and two HBR3 USB-C to Displayport cables.

I have the same issue, trying to run 2x Dell 2001FP Screens (1600x1200), one from HDMI, one from VGA. The HDMI connected screen can only reach 1280x1024
It doesn't make sense, it should be able to drive it at full native res. If I plug the HDMI cable direct to Laptop, it works fine, and the onboard Iris Xe graphics can happly drive 4 indepedent displays at far higher resolutions than this.
Has no-one ever found a solution?
