Smartbyte flagged as virus

I just installed several updates per recommendations from the Dell Update App.  I was surprised when I got a message from Defender that I had a severe virus when I launched Chrome after this update.  It was pointing to the Smartbyte executable.  After reading some forums, I uninstalled Smartbyte & got no more warnings.  Needless to say, I'm not going to install this in the future.
