NEW Inspiron 3501 SLOW INTERNET

I bought laptop 3 months ago, had last Dell laptop since 2015. It runs better than the new one,  I work from home, missed 3 days of work, system is so slow that i cannot log on to remote without getting booted, IT could not help, Software tech could not help, Dell says it is software issue, $300, I will throw in dumpster before i pay, I have always purchased Dells. I guess I am headed to Walmart to buy cheap laptop, can't be any worse,  I do not have Smartbyte.
