Need help finding a new wifi wlan mini card for my Inspiron 1545 with n band

I have an Inspiron 1545  laptop that's about 5 years old. The wlan mini card only supports b and g bands. As I am finally upgrading my router,  I need a new one that can support n. Does Dell have one that is compatible or are there some from Intel that will work? I tried searching Dell's site with my service tag, but 0 wlan cards came up. I have no clue where to look to see what my options are. I do want a really good one. Any help is appreciated.

Hi nightwolf2014,

I would suggest you to use these usb wireless cards which will have the same performance like the internal wireless card.
Dell DW1510 or 1515 are the compatible cards for Inspiron 1545. But both of these are not available. You may consider buying any of these since they can be used on any system.

I would rather not use the adapters. I used one on my old desktop and the speeds were terrible.

I see another user posted an internal one that will work so I'm most likely going to give that a shot.

Thanks. I see on reviews of it that a lot of people with the 1545 have issues with it. I guess the 5100 works better? It says Intel Centrino and my laptop has Intel Core 2 Duo. I'm wondering if I'd run into issues with it?

Hi nightwolf2014,

Intel 5100 card will work on your system but Maximum compatibility is ensured when using a Laptop based on Intel® Centrino® processor technology.
