My bluetooth headphones are connect but audio is only playing from laptop.

I recently updated my laptop to the most recent windows and now even though my AirPods are paired and connected to audio & voice audio only plays out of my laptop. I have tried disconnecting a reconnecting and the same problem is still there as well as disconnecting every other device from the AirPods except my laptop.
