MS5320W Mouse crashing upon scrolling in Bluetooth mode

I recently bought the KB7120W mouse and keyboard combo and i am running into an issue that renders the mouse unusable.

Whenever i scroll fast the mouse crashes and restarts making scrolling functionally impossible. This happens only when using Bluetooth and it happens on all devices i have (2 laptops, windows and Linux and a desktop pc). When i check my bluetooth logs it seems that the mouse indeed disconnects since it is a connection time-out. The issue does not occur when using the dongle. It also started happening after pairing the devices to various devices. Completely re-pairing the device also does not work. Is there some kind of way of factory resetting the mouse? There is no mention of such a function in the manual.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

David van der Leij.

I am returning the bundle. Dell support keeps asking me for the service tag which does not exist on this peripheral. And their video they keep sending without any reading of what i send them does not contain any info which number it is on a mouse. It seems support is bend on getting this non-existent tag before helping me. After crashing multiple times when switching channel the mouse becomes unresponsive with a flashing led as well indiciating a proper crash. I suspect this issue is caused by poorly designed firmware where it encounters a paired device in its device list with some data causing the mouse to crash. Allowing a factory reset functionality would have fixed this but there is no such thing. My Bluetooth logs don't show any error from the pc side. I have tried the Bluetooth with 5 devices including windows linux, macos and android. Other bluetooth mice work just fine as well. And yes i did check the battery as well.

Conclusion: As the bluetooth functionality has the potential to self detonate i would really recommend not buying this mouse.

I am happy to report that Firmware version 3.5.5.9 for MS5320W has fixed the crashes on scrolling while connected over Bluetooth for me.

The firmware update within Dell Peripheral Manager appears to only work when the mouse is connected over the proprietary dongle, but after the update the mouse no longer "hangs" after a scrolling event while connected over Bluetooth.

The Update of the Firmware to version 3.5.5.9 for MS5320W solved my problem as well. Thank you very much!

Open Dell Peripheral Manager on your computer and it will show that an update is available

It's too bad I've been frustrated at my mouse's annoying behavior for a year, hating on Dell every 5 minutes as my mouse locked up for a few seconds. Why wouldn't this be auto-updated or an email notification sent to me to fix this?!! Glad it's fixed now, but I still have a bad taste in my mouth.
