Modem does not switch from "Tone" to "Pulse" dialling for Laptop Latitude-D600

Hi,

 

I am a resident of Noida in India and we have "pulse dialling here. However, my laptop Latitude D600 having modem "Conexant D480 MDC V.9x Modem" is not able to switch from "Tone" dialling to Pulse dialling. I have tried changing the modem properties in the control panel, but the dialing mode does not change. My desktop is able to dial on the same line by changing to "Pulse" dialing.

 

Can someone help?
