LATITUDE DE820 XP loaded wiped out DELL drivers & SW, no network access

Anybody out there - I need some HELP..... I bought a second hand LATITUDE DE820 with Windows 7 on it and it worked fine (also WLAN). I needed to load XP Prof on it (yes...) and so all DELL SW is gone (got no DELL CD's) I loaded XP Service packet 3 I got plugged in Ethernet, but I also have a WLAN - but NO NETWORK communication at all. Ping to any IP address in LAN brings 'Host unreachable' IPConfig/all shows : Windows IP configuration Host...: Laptop Prim. DNS : Mode type : Broadcast IP Routing enabled : No WINS Proxy enabled : No Ethernet adapter Bluetooth Network Connection : Media State : Media disconnected Description : Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Physical addr : Mac addr. Control panel ->Network Connections shows LAN Conn. 1394 Net Adapter (Properties :Device working properly, Driver: MS 01/07/2001 ! ) Connection Status : Connected /but 0 Packets Protocols : Client f. Microsoft NW File & Printer sharing TCP-IP - trying to hit Repair ->msg 'TCP/IP not enabled for this connection') Conclusion : I think my XP drivers are too old, resp. not DELL Problem : I have no network access - so need minimal drivers update to get to Internet and then upgrade Need to download that/those driver on a Non-Dell PC , then CD , then install on Laptop Don't know DELL HW , have used Service Tag to find 11 drivers, resp. 75 drivers for it I beleive it's a 'network' driver - but dont know which Or any other suggestions ? Thks for any help Peter

Well maybe it was because I realized that I had to insert HTML
to get my text with linefeeds.
But anyhow Problem is solved by german DELL European support group which responded very fast in there DELL Forum and help me tremendous to get going again. Thanks DELL-Dave S .
Problem solved by :
dowloaded followind drivers on CD , then installed on D820
Wlan: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/de/de/debsdt1/DriverDetails/Product/latitude-d820?driverId=R257701&osCode=WW1&fileId=2731111614&languageCode=de&categoryId=NI .
Lan: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/de/de/debsdt1/DriverDetails/Product/latitude-d820?driverId=04VK6&osCode=WW1&fileId=2731090506&languageCode=de&categoryId=NI .
Now network using Ethernet and Wireless worked With network access working, all other drivers dowloaded from net.

Sorry about my previous text. It supressed all the linefeeds. Bought an old DELL Latitude DE820 without CD's. OS was Windows7 german, needed XP english. Windows7 wireless connection was running fine. Formatted HD and loaded (no Dell CD) XP prof and then SP3.. XP runs but have no network acces - no wireless - no ethernet. IPConfig/all shows : Windows IP configuration Host...: Laptop Prim. DNS : Mode type : Broadcast IP Routing enabled : No WINS Proxy enabled : No Ethernet adapter Bluetooth Network Connection : Media State : Media disconnected Description : Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Physical addr : Mac addr. Control panel ->Network Connections : LAN Conn. 1394 Net Adapter (Properties :Device working properly, Driver: MS 01/07/2001 ! ) Connection Status : Connected /but 0 Packets Protocols : Client f. Microsoft NW / File&printsharing/ TCP-IP clicking 'repair' TCP-IP brings msg 'TCP/IP not enabled for this connection' Is this because a specific DELL SW driver is missing . DELL website says 9, resp. 75 drivers for XP and D820 What would be minimum required to get Internet access ? Thanks for any help - I am stuck.
