Intel Wireless Pro cannot find available networks
I have a D600 with built-in Intel Wireless Pro network card.
I have been using this card at home and at work for a year and a half with zero problems until just a few weeks ago, when it just stopped being able to find available networks. I checked the driver and Device Manager shows that the driver is working fine. I Enable the card and it shows that it is not having a problem... it just won't find any available networks, even though I did nothing in the interim, except perhaps to perform a regular Windows Update. Although, coworkers of mine with exactly the same machine and configuration don't have the same problem as I have.
What the heck is going on? I can't seem to figure it out.

If you are using the client software, then somewhere there is (in "Advanced" -- configure the device) a place where you can Check "allow Windows to manage this device"
In the case where you already let Windows manage, you can also go to that place to Clear that check box and use the client software that manages instead. There are many settings that can be adjusted. In some cases I have lowered the value for two "threshhold" settings from 2346 to 2047 and from 2347 to 2048
There are all sorts of "magic-like" effects of the tiniest change(s) so I (and boss) usually have to fiddle around or muddle through for awhile to revive the functionality here.
