Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 issues with Dell Studio 1735

The card recognized by the windows as wifi or as bluetooth (depending in witch slot i connect the card).

I have installed the latest drivers from intel's driver page for my MS Windows 7, 64bit.

What can i do?

Any solution?

George,

Glad you got your system working! :emotion-21: Sorry the Intel 6235 would not install. If your system is under warranty, I would contact Dell and see if they'll replace the adapter.

Take care,

Rick

My system is not covered anymore by warranty.

Thanks again for your time.

kalergman,

You removed the install date of the operating system. This was important information for me.

When you installed/reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

As you can see, the wifi card couldn't start!

The first three shoots are in one mini-pci-e slot and the rest two are for the other.

Is the card defected?

The installed date was 2011, i think October.

I installed direct the intel drivers last week.

Dell System Software is for 32 bit only... I tested.

So you think that i have to install again the operation system or something else?

kalergman,

This system only has Vista drivers available.

Try downloading and installing the drivers in the exact order, but install them in the Vista SP2 Compatibility mode

Dell System Software, v.6.5.0, A05

Intel Mobile Chipset, v.8.3.0.1018, A00

Ricoh Card Reader R5C833, v.3.54.05, A01

Broadcom BCM5784M LAN, v.11.9.1.1, A00

I don't see drivers for this model for the adapter you are showing in the device manager. Not sure if these drivers will work.

Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 drivers

If they don't work, then download the drivers from Intel® Driver Update Utility

Download and install Dell QuickSet, v.9.0.12, A00

Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled

What virus program and firewall are you using?

That's the story.

The system worked perfectly since last week.

All drivers updated.

Then i bought the 6235 card to be more connected. (wifi+bluetooth v4)

I install the card and the latest drivers from intels page.

Intel PROSet-Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7 v16.6.0, 64bit

Intel PROSet-Wireless Bluetooth Software for Windows 7 v3.1.1309, 64bit

Thats it all.

The rest i think you know it.

kalergman,

Code 10 is a drivers issue.

Make a system restore point.

Make sure you have the drivers downloaded to the computer and saved to your desktop for the Intel 6235 adapter.

Start, control panel, device manger, network adapter, right click on the Intel 6235 adapter, left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the software and drivers.

Restart your computer. Whjen you log back in, the new hardware wizard will try to install the adapter, but fail.

install the drivers saved to your desktop.

What happens?

kalergman,

The wireless card is easy to get to. look at Page 35 in the Dell Studio 1735 Owners Manual.

Before you begin, unplug the computer from the wall. Remove the battery. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to relase any power in the system.

Then I would reseat the wireless adapter. Also check to see that the Black and White Antenna wires are on the card securely.

Put the battery back in, then start the system. See if the adapter installs.
