InspironE1505 cannot access IE with wireless router

I just got Dell inspiron E1505 a month ago. Had connected with Netgear 54Mbps wireless router WGR614v6 and had work just fine until I had trouble with lost files ( hpgreg32.dll - have fixed it thanks to this forum )and iexplore.exe (also fix by following prefetch-delete and msconfig to selective start up)

After fixing iexplorer.exe problem. I lost the wireless connection but still ok if I connect with  ethernet. So I restart my netgear and run the CD again but still cannot access via wireless. repeated it twice but still cant. My status connection  is  "Address type.... invalid IP address" IP address 0.0.0.0.  etc.  I am a novice at this but I can follow step by step instruction. I have read some treads that can help me but I still cant figure it out. I hope this info might help.

You can try this if you haven't already. Power down the router and the modem. After a couple minutes power up the modem first. When it is fully powered then power up the router. After the router is powered up then select start, run and type cmd. Then hit enter. Then type ipconfig /release and hit enter. Then type ipconfig /renew and hit enter. You should get a renewed ip address and be the correct one for your router.
