Inspiron 5755 stopped screen mirroring with Samsung Smart TV

My Dell  Inspiron 5755 was doing screen mirroring with my Samsung Smart TV (UN55HU8700FXZA) until about a week ago. Now when connecting to the TV, the TV screen and Dell Inspiron shows

"Connecting"..."Connected"..., then the TV screen shows "Screen Mirroring Ended".

I have checked for software/firmware updates for the TV, which indicated all are current. I have updated the BIOS and graphics card on the Dell. I can still not screen mirror the Dell to the Samsung, but I could a week ago. I can screen mirror using a Chromecast device.

N/A,

Click the youtube link below to see if the information will help you resolve the mirroring. It is not a Dell Video.

Screen Mirroring in Windows 10

Thanks, for your reply and suggestions.

I tried restoring my laptop to an earlier time when I wasn't having this problem.  After the restore operation, the laptop went into a continuous "auto repair loop", and would not boot to Windows 10. One of the repair options was a RESET, which would reload  Windows 10, delete all apps not originally loaded with the OS, but keep all files. I did this option and after what seemed like an all-day affair, the OS was restored, with all apps removed, but personal files remained.

That solved the screen mirroring problem. The Dell Inspiron 5755 and the Samsung Smart TV UN55HU8700FXZA are now connecting and screen mirroring. It must have been some app I installed that interfered with the screen mirroring operation.
