Inspiron 3521 Wi-Fi Problem in Win7

Hi Everyone!
Since i purchased a new inspiron 3521, I'm having a problem in finding the right driver for WiFi. I'v tried all possible drivers for this system. Went through all related forums and Dell supports stuff but couldn't resolve the issue, and its getting really annoying now.
I have tried Network_Driver_2W6N0_WN_WLAN--9.2.0.50_A02 and currently I have DW1704_W7_A04_Setup-7RVKH_ZPE installed. I get  very weak signals even if I sit right next to my router. Previously I had win8 and I was not satisfied with it so I turned to win7, but the problem got even worse.
OS is Win7 Ultimate and its x64-based.
The router is fine as my other devices has no connectivity issue.

Anyone please help me out!
Thank you.

Hi Hasy,

I would suggest you to update the BIOS and then uninstall and reinstall the Wireless card driver on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS and then download the BIOS from BIOS section and then wireless card driver from Network section onto the Desktop screen.

Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the wireless card.

1. Open the charms bar by moving the mouse to right top corner of the screen and inthe search box, Start typing devmgmt.msc and then press enter.

2. Select the wireless card and Bluetooth device under Network Adapter and right click on it

3. Now select properties.

4. In the properties window, under Driver tab, click on Uninstall button.

5. Check “Delete the driver software for this device.”

6. You want to delete the driver click OK.

After the uninstall finishes restart the system and install the drivers by using the file downloaded on the desktop screen.

Thanks Ravi!

I tried that but now the problem is of poor signals and disconnection problem.
I reinstalled win7 and installed every driver again but the result is still not satisfying to me.
I have done updating BIOS and Wireless Card Driver but no real help. I am not getting if its some glitch or any minor setting issue.

If you would take my service tag and help me out by suggesting more then I'l be really grateful!

Hi Hasy,

I’d suggest that you to change the Advanced card properties of the wireless card and check for issue resolution. Please follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. Open ‘Device Manager’ by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type ‘Device Manager’, and then, in the list of results, click ‘Device Manager’.
  2. When the device manager pops up, in the list please check for ‘Network adapter’.
  3. Please click on the arrow mark beside ‘Network adapter’.
  4. You will find the wireless network card available on your computer.
  5. Right click on Wireless card and select ‘Properties’.
  6. Next click on ‘Advanced tab’.
  7. Change Roaming Aggressiveness to maximum.
  8. Change the wireless channels in the ‘advanced card properties’ to 11 or 6 and Disable Bluetooth Collaboration.

Please let me know if this helps.
