Inspiron 14z 5423 wifi stopped working

I am having a similar problem except my wireless stopped working when I switched internet providers.  All my other computers and phones can connect except the Dell Inspiron 5423.  I have tried numerous actions including updating the driver, disabling and re enabling and nothing works.  I am out of warranty but I have read online that many people have had this problem with this model.  Is there someone that I can talk to without having to pay an $89 fee for someone to correct this?
