To set a static IP address on your device, you'll need to access your network settings, find the IP settings for your current network, and manually enter the desired IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. 
On a Windows Computer:
1. Open Network Settings:
Click the Start menu, then click "Settings".
Go to "Network & Internet".
Select "Wi-Fi" or "Ethernet" depending on your connection.
2. Edit IP Settings:
Click on your current network connection.
Click "Edit" under "IP settings".
Select "Manual" from the dropdown list.
Toggle on the IPv4 switch.
3. Enter Static IP Details:
Enter your desired static IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
Optionally, add your preferred DNS server addresses.
Save the settings.
