Frequent Dropped Internet Connections - Dell Inspiron 11 3185

I have been struggling for the past two weeks to establish an Internet connection that lasts more than an hour on this laptop. Up until this time there was no problem with the connection. I have contacted Dell Support and they have updated the wireless adapter to no avail. I have deleted the network connection and recreated it to no avail. I have verified that the recommended wireless settings are in place (link found on another forum article). Dell Support has told me that they need to replace the wireless card, but I am skeptical that this is not the root of the problem. However none of the other devices on the network are suffering from the same problem. I am seeking some advice on other areas to troubleshoot before accepting a hardware problem.
