Ethernet HELP!!!!! ASAP
I have to get my Ethernet Card working again. I had to reformat my computer and now whenever I plug the ethernet cable into the computer, it dosent recognize it anymore. I have a Dell XPS M170. I downloaded the drivers after reformatting and installed them on the dell xps, but it only recognizes the wireless connections, please help, what drivers do i needa install or what?

Which version of Windows are you running? Is the ethenet adapter integrated on the motherboard or is it a PCI card?

Did you install the chipset drivers before attemting to install any other devices? If not, download and install the chipset drivers first:

Once the chipset drivers are installed, download and install the drivers for the ethernet controller fromo:
