Dropping from Internet - Device PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0042&SUBSYS_18101028&REV_31\4&12814df5&0&00E9 requires further installation.

I am continually being dropped from the inter.net on my Inspiron 17 3000.  I have to run the troubleshooter to reconnect. When doing so, there is also an error message about an Ethernet cable being disconnected for some reason. When looking at the properties of the network adapter the following information is present:  I have reinstalled the Qualcomm  QCA9377 892.11 ac multiple times even though it says the device is working properly.

Device PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0042&SUBSYS_18101028&REV_31\4&12814df5&0&00E9 requires further installation.

Any suggestions for resolving this?  Dell tech support seems to be clueless.  The motherboard, network adapter and hard drive have all been replaced.
